This sweet print was hand drawn and printed by Dave Hunter at Hangar 18 to adver­tise the Dark Nou­veau Art Show at Var­nish Gallery, fea­tur­ing Malleus, Alan Forbes, Fire­house and Mr Hunter him­self. The show was a focus on the Art Nou­veau influ­ence on the mod­ern psy­che­delic con­cert poster. Per­form­ing on the sec­ond night were Acid King and Malleus’ band, Uffo­mam­mut, all the way from Italy. Print fea­tures super rich red flu­o­res­cent and met­alic gold inks, hand mixed by Dave him­self. From an edi­tion of 90 on 14pt bul­let proof coated stock, and a very lim­ited vari­ant edi­tion of 16 on Vel­vet Red Vel­lum Stock.

Last week we printed a series of 4 silkscreen posters for West Fest, this one designed by Dave Hunter. Also included in the series are posters by Malleus, Chuck Sperry and Ron Dono­van. This is a 4 color print, cre­ated with eye-fry flu­o­res­cent inks and Elec­tra­chrome™ tech­nol­ogy. We pulled an all-nighter to get this out the door, feast­ing on cran­berry trail mix and gal­lons of coolaid. The show was quite inter­est­ing, espe­cially tow­ing Malleus to a full-on Hippy Fes­ti­val. Our favorite attrac­tions were the com­pletely ran­dom ques­tions, pic­nic lunch by TRPS, plenty of painted breasts and the Holo­graph Guy.
