Last week we printed a series of 4 silkscreen posters for West Fest, this one designed by Dave Hunter. Also included in the series are posters by Malleus, Chuck Sperry and Ron Dono­van. This is a 4 color print, cre­ated with eye-fry flu­o­res­cent inks and Elec­tra­chrome™ tech­nol­ogy. We pulled an all-nighter to get this out the door, feast­ing on cran­berry trail mix and gal­lons of coolaid. The show was quite inter­est­ing, espe­cially tow­ing Malleus to a full-on Hippy Fes­ti­val. Our favorite attrac­tions were the com­pletely ran­dom ques­tions, pic­nic lunch by TRPS, plenty of painted breasts and the Holo­graph Guy.

Dave Hunter designed the offi­cial gig poster for the “Marin Rocks” Metal­lica ben­e­fit con­cert with spe­cial guests Moon­al­ice on Sep­tem­ber 11, 2009 at the Marin Veteran’s Audi­to­rium in San Rafael, CA. This 6 color silkscreen was printed right here at Hangar18 on 14 pt cover stock with metal­lic sil­ver, gold and copper-gold inks. Signed and num­bered from an edi­tion of 500 by the artist and mea­sures 19″ X 26″.

Pro­ceeds from poster sales at the event went towards the Marin His­tory Museum’s upcom­ing exhibit “Marin Rocks” which will show­case the his­tory of rock and roll cul­ture in Marin County, Ca — home to such leg­ends as The Grate­ful Dead, Quick­sil­ver Mes­sen­ger Ser­vice, Van Mor­ri­son, San­tana and many more musi­cians includ­ing mem­bers of Metal­lica and Moonalice.
