My mind is blown from documenting Dave Hunter screen print his latest event poster for the worlds first international Ibogaine Conference on March 20–28, 2009 in Sayulita, Mexico. This silkscreen poster is a Tribute to Howard Lotsof, an American scientific researcher who discovered and pioneered the use of ibogaine as a medicine for the treatment of substance addictions.
It took about three days of printing at Hangar 18 in Oakland with the help of Ron Donovan to print all these posters. Dave did not want me to give away too many of his printing secrets so the photos do not show the entire process, somewhere between 8 to 15 screens for each print, measuring 19.125″ x 19.125″ and Signed and Numbered.
Thank you dh and rd for sharing this printing experience with me. I’ll never forget it.

What is Ibogaine?
“Ibogaine, a naturally occurring alkaloid found in Tabernanthe iboga and other plant species of Central West Africa, is effective in interrupting narcotic dependence. It also induces a waking dream state with psychedelic visions. Taking Ibogaine is not a recreational experience. Ibogaine has freed thousands of people from their addiction and is a new paradigm in addiction therapy.”
